Data protection concerns personal data. This includes user information such as name, postal address, e-mail address or telephone number. Usage data are data required to use our website, for instance, this data includes the start, end, and extent of the user’s website use.
3.1 Automatic data collection
When you access our website, your device automatically transmits certain data for technical reasons. The following data are stored separately from any other data you may transmit to us

These data are stored for purely technical reasons and are never associated with any particular individual.
3.2 Data entered by the user
No registration is required to use our website. In order to place an order, you must provide information about your email address, name, address and telephone number. This data is required to process your order. Furthermore, we need these and potentially additional data in order to handle to your support requests.

3.3 Voluntary data
Furthermore, you can create a personal profile. For this purpose, you may tell us your date of birth, gender, shoe size, social media usernames, address, phone number, password and local store. If you register, we further store your order history. This voluntarily shared information is used to facilitate your order flow, display your order history if you request it.

3.4 Product rating features
We provide comment sections or other interactive areas on our website in order to enable you to rate products (“product rating features”). When you use product rating features, you should be aware that these areas are publicly accessible and all personal information you share or have entered upon registration may be accessed by others. We are unable to control how other visitors to our websites and/or apps use such information. Content shared in Interactive Areas may be available for an unlimited time. If at any time you wish any content to be removed, please notify us by e-mail to the address provided above.
We collect all data entered within the scope of the comment sections or other interactive areas in order to be able to make the comment sections or other interactive areas available to you as intended, Art. 6 Para 1 lit. b GDPR.

As a general rule, your personal data will be shared with third parties without your express prior consent only in the cases described below:

In these cases, we share information with such companies or individuals to enable them to carry out their tasks. Such external service providers are carefully selected and regularly checked in order to ensure your privacy. Service providers may only use the data for the purposes specified by us. Service providers are furthermore contractually obliged by us to treat data strictly in accordance with this privacy policy and German data protection law.
The transfer of data in order to fulfil the contract with you is based on Art. 6 Para 1 lit. b GDPR. The transfer of data to processors who processes your data on our behalf is based on Art. 28 Para 1 GDPR, alternatively on the basis of our legitimate interest in the economic and technical advantages associated with the use of specialized processors, and the fact that your rights and interests in the protection of your personal data do not outweigh Art. 6 Para 1 lit. f GDPR.
- As our business evolves, the structure of schuh Limited may change, for instance by a change in legal form or creation, acquisition or sale of subsidiaries, branches or parts of a company. In the course of such transactions, customer data will be transferred together with the relevant part of the company being transferred. In each transfer of personal data to third parties to the extent described above, we will ensure that such transfer is made in accordance with this privacy policy and applicable data protection law.
Any disclosure of personal data is justified by the fact that we have a legitimate interest in adapting our company form in accordance with the economic and legal circumstances when required and that your rights and interests in the protection of your personal data do not outweigh Art. 6 Para 1 lit. f GDPR.
We offer a free newsletter service. In the newsletter, we inform our users about products, offers and promotions.
In order to receive the e-mail newsletter, you may enter your email address into a subscriber list. An e-mail is then automatically sent to the specified e-mail address. In this e-mail you will be asked to confirm your registration for the newsletter. To confirm, click on the link contained in the mail.
You may opt out of the newsletter at any time. Each newsletter contains information on how to opt out of receiving newsletters with effect for the future.

On our website you have the possibility to contact us via text chat or live video call. All you have to do is select the "Live Help" function. For this purpose we use Vee24. Vee24 is a leading provider of video engagement technology that facilitates real-time sales and customer services for companies doing business on the Internet.
During the engagement, you enter into a live question and answer session with a schuh operator either by text chat or live video call where we share the webpage. After the chat, we will ask you to fill out an exit survey in order to obtain valuable feedback about the levels of our service. Filling out the exit survey is completely voluntary. Moreover, all the personal data is only collected if you voluntarily supply it. If during the live engagement you choose to enter personal or business data (email addresses, names, addresses, phone number), the disclosure of such data is done so by you on a voluntary basis. Such information is not passed to any third parties or used for any other purpose(s) than that/those requested by you. We log browser information (e.g. browser types) to help diagnose problems with our server, gather broad demographic information and administer our site. By choosing to engage in a chat or video call and use the services, you consent to such logging and processing of browser information.
We access the information we collect for certain purposes (for example, to aggregate the information, to monitor the use of the service during certain engagements and for other lawful purposes). All schuh customer information, including personally identifiable information, will not be shared with anyone. We do not sell trade or rent the personal information that our customers provide.
We aim to offer you the best possible help and advice in the context of your visit to our page. As part of the live engagement you have the option to choose (by pressing the appropriate buttons) different communication channels. If you have chosen an engagement via voice or video communications, a recording of that communication does not take place at any time and therefore no video or voice data is either captured or stored. You have the option at any time to terminate the conversation by pressing the appropriate button.
If you use our live chat because you have questions about an order process or one of our products, the data will be processed on the basis of Art. 6 Para 1 lit. b GDPR. If the chats are recorded for training and quality assurance purposes, this is done on the basis of Art. 6 Para 1 lit. f GDPR and the fact that your legitimate interests do not outweigh. Our legitimate interest is to improve our services.
We store “Cookies” to provide you with a wide range of functionalities and enhance website usage comfort. “Cookies” are tiny files stored on your computer through your browser.
